We have been given the opportunity to serve those who minister to the weak and defenseless.  The Brown family lives in McAllen, Texas and have planted a children’s home in Galeana, Mexico.  Their ministry is called Plain Gospel Mission. They provide a safe environment for the children of that community to come receive an education as well as spiritual and physical nourishment.  The Browns travel in and out of the country on almost a weekly basis.  The children’s home has a small staff that stay all year round, but they are so busy throughout the school year that some of the cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep around the campus gets pushed to the summer months.  They rely heavily on short term mission help to get these projects accomplished.

We will be flying in to help them out for a week.  We leave July 25th and return on Aug 1st. If you are not going on the trip, you can still serve and help in several different ways.  There is a collection bin in the back of the sanctuary for you to bring school and hygiene supplies (pens, pencils, markers, crayons, notebooks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc).  We will mail them off a few days before we leave.  Also you can donate money for us to buy the school supplies or to help support a team member going on the trip (turn it in and please be sure to notate what it is for).

This is a great opportunity for our church to give back to the body of Christ and I am excited that our pastor has gotten behind this trip and allowed me to head it up.  If you have any more questions you can ask me at church or Send an email message to me anytime.

In Christ,

Chad Gray
